The "CCTV Finance Excavator Index" jointly created by CCTV Finance, Sany Heavy Industry and Tree Root Internet released the latest relevant data. In October, the overall operating rate of China's construction machinery was 61.35%, a new high in the second half of the year. China's infrastructure construction has accelerated, and multiple sets of data show the surging momentum of China's economy, and high-quality development has been steadily promoted.

The report of the operating rate in October was released, and Anhui, Jiangxi and Zhejiang ranked among the top three in China.

In October 10, the overall operating rate of construction machinery in Chian was 61.35%, an increase of 1.39% compared with the previous month, a new high since the second half of the year. Nationally, a total of 12 provinces have an operating rate of more than 70%. Among them, Anhui, Jiangxi and Zhejiang ranked among the top three with 80.19%, 74.98%, 74.06% respectively. In the first half of this year, Anhui had the first operating rate in China for 5 consecutive months.

Central provinces take the lead!

In October 2023, 26 provinces across the country achieved positive month-on-month growth in operating rates. Of the top 10 provinces in terms of operating rates, four are in central China. Henan and Anhui ranked among the top two in terms of month-on-month growth.

The operating rate of these provinces has exceeded 70% for 8 consecutive months.

From March to October 2023, there are five provinces maintaining a high operating rate of 70% every month: Anhui, Hainan, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Hubei. The operating rate of many major economic provinces remained stable at a high level, laying the foundation for the continuous improvement of economic operation in the fourth quarter.

In October 2023, the average operating rate of excavation equipment was 65.79%, an increase of 4.11% from September. Among them, excavators are the largest number of provinces with the largest increase in operating rate among all equipment, and a total of 29 provinces have achieved positive growth in operating rate month-on-month. Among them, 17 provinces saw a month-on-month increase of more than 3% percentage points in operating rates.

Since March 2023, the total pumping volume of concrete equipment in China has remained high. In October, seven provinces, including Fujian, Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Shanghai, achieved a month-on-month increase in pumping volume, of which Fujian Province increased by 12.97% month-on-month. 

The scale of project construction in major economic provinces thus can be seen, laying a good foundation for the economy to stabilize and rebound in the fourth quarter.
